The Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) Friday praised officials of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) as well as the entire Oil & Gas workers for ensuring the stoppage of the proposed privatisation of the nation's four refineries - Port Harcourt Refining Company I&II, Kaduna and Warri Refining and Petrochemicals Ltd by the federal government.
The opposition parties in a release signed by its National Publicity Secretary of CNPP, Mr. Osita Okechukwu and made available to newsmen in Enugu tasked the oil workers not to relent, noting that it was not yet Uhuru, for the government would pull another string from her bag.
