Nigeria defender Kenneth Omeruo has completed his loan move to Championship side Middlesbrough from Chelsea.
The 20-year-old centre-back has been training with the Chelsea first team, but needs regular football to make Nigeria's squad for June's World Cup.
"This loan move is important because I have a good chance of playing regular football," Omeruo told BBC Sport.
"I would also be in a good situation to help the club fight for promotion - nothing is impossible in football."

“This provides me with an opportunity to be sharp for the World Cup”
Kenneth Omeruo
Omeruo signed for Chelsea from Standard Liege in January 2012 and immediately went on loan to Dutch top-flight side ADO Den Haag.
Then only 19, he impressed enough in the Eredivisie to win a place in Nigeria's starting line-up as they won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
A shoulder injury suffered at the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil meant Omeruo was unable to go on loan in September.
But with his sights firmly set on the World Cup in Brazil, Omeruo has been allowed by Blues manager Jose Mourinho to move to the Riverside stadium.
"Training with the first team at Chelsea is just not good enough for my progress and development," Omeruo said.
"More significantly I was highly recommended [to Boro] by Jose Mourinho and that feels good.
"And both coaches speak to each other on a daily basis so I believe I'll be in good hands.
"Apart from playing regularly and helping the team, this provides me with an opportunity to be sharp for the World Cup."
Boro's Spanish boss Aitor Karanka knows Mourinho well having worked as his assistant manager at Real Madrid.
"I am happy Omeruo will come here to help us," he said.
However any deal for Ghana's Michael Essien seems less likely.
"I said to Jose Mourinho, 'listen, can I take Michael Essien' - maybe not, but me and the club are working to take players," Karanka added.
